I've lived in Tyler for 26 years and this is the first time I've been to this restaurant. The food was awesome, well priced (buffet), and reminded me of home- cooked meals I had growing up. The atmosphere made me feel right at home and the service was unmatched! This place has just the right amount of that southern charm that you don't see real often, anymore. Highly recommended! 😁👍

Great little hometown buffet! The food was great and the waiter are wonderful. On the way out, I talked to one of the ladies who told me that the owners are Johnny Manziel's grandparents.

My wife caters and a great cook. She loved the entire experience eating at Loggins restaurant. The homemade food was delicious and authentic. Great service. Open for lunch Sunday- Friday and it was wonderful. Two all you can eat buffet with deserts $44 for the both of us.

A friend and I went to Loggins for lunch when the place we were planning to meet was closed, and we loved it! I've driven past Loggins for 45 years and always wanted to try it but never did. It's the oldest restaurant in Tyler—been there since 1949. Wow! The food was delicious, the service was helpful and kind, and the atmosphere was vintage and fun. We arrived around 11:00 and by noon the place was packed with mostly regular customers. The all-you-can-eat buffet was well stocked with wonderful choices, and all of the pies (at least ten different flavors) are homemade. I had liver and onions (the liver was so tender), and my friend had fried chicken. And we both had our choice of veggies. Yum! We will go again sooner than later.😊

Travelled to Tyler Texas on business and while out there I got the idea to look for the old school county buffet. I found Loggins. The reviews rated it as 4.5 and the menu seemed right up my alley. When I arrived and walked in there was a large crowd which made me feel good. The parking lot was full another good sign. After I sat down and ordered a water I walked to the buffet. It was smaller than expect but options where fish, spagethi, goulash, fried chicken, chicken fried steak and side. I tried the fish as yall know and it was super fries, so much that you could not eat. The other dishes where all overly cooked and everything lacked seasoning at all. The mac and cheese was more like a soup . The food was abysmal. The only thing that was good was the sweet potatoes but they were right our of a can and warmed up. Same thing you get from a grocery store. The staff was great and the homemade pie was okay. But it's the staff that makes it. Nothing like hearing sweetie and dear. They were attentive and working hard. Which is the only reason this place is a 3 star. If you looking for a replacement for old country buffet this is not it.
